Svalbard Turn is a sports organisation based in Longyearbyen on the Arctic archipelago of Svalbard, Norway. Established in 1930, the organisation has traditionally supported ski disciplines, but over the years it has introduced a range of other sports including running, football, badminton and swimming. It hosts events including the Svalbard Skimaraton and the Spitsbergen Marathon.
The organisation wanted a new visual identity to represent its modern range of sports and events. The logo features the region’s iconic polar bear; visually inspired by the form of its flat-top mountains and impressive auroras – executed in a sleek and sporty style. The same logomark is used for each of the organisation’s events, made distinctive with separate colour palettes.
