1001 Questions is a private and personal service of oral history, provided by a team experienced in interviewing and filmmaking.
Customers hire the team to orchestrate an in-depth interview with a particular subject, which is filmed, produced and made available online for guests to watch. It is intended to act as a memoir; to offer an insight into a friend’s or a relative’s life.
The visual identity conceptualises the focus on an individual, with the Q symbolising a head. The wordmark, fonts and colour palette needed to be clear and friendly, especially in order to speak to a wide age demographic.
The brief for the website was primarily based around the user interaction of accessing an interview and navigating the extensive collection of questions, allowing the user to select particular themes and categories. The menu navigation intends to be intuitive as possible by creating clear pathways to specific content using the minimum amount of steps.
Alongside the use of the identity’s key elements, icons were also created to support the navigation of the themes and the video player.
